I went to stay with Manu in her hometown of Niederstetten which is about 40 mins south of the city of Würzburg in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg. Baden-Wurttemberg is the third largest state in Germany and sits in the southwest, east of the Rhine, bordering with France.

The scenery here is breathtaking and so different from Spain and Portugal where I spent the winter.

There are crystal clear lakes,

and acres of thick woodland to explore.

This is a very active agricultural area and there are fields for miles and miles.

It’s really quiet out here in the countryside, there’s hardly anyone around and there are so many places to wildcamp. It’s perfect for summer van living!
